Advanced Broadcast Assistant - Audio & Video Editing, Social Media & Filming (Manchester)

Gaydio, with support from the National Lottery ‘Awards for All’ fund, is offering advanced courses covering key areas of media to help you build the skills you need to land that next opportunity. These will include:

- Advanced Social Media (e.g. Graphics using Photoshop)

- Advanced Audio & Video Editing (Adobe Premiere Pro & Audition)

- Advanced Filming & Audio On Location

Course Layout

1. Learn the fundamentals of video editing by working with real interview footage.

2. Edit celebrity interviews using professional workflows, including graphics, branding, lock-ups and subtitles.

3. Improve and edit audio to create broadcast-ready radio packages with sound effects.

4. Create eye-catching thumbnails and graphics for digital and social media content.

5. Learn how to set up, record and conduct professional interviews.

6. Produce a complete multimedia package by editing video, audio and accompanying promotional graphics.

Location, Dates and Times

Location: Gaydio, Manchester One Building, 53 Portland Street, Manchester, M1 3LF

Course Dates: 15th to 17th September

Course Time: 10am to 4pm

Cost: Free for all participants (who meet the criteria below)

Criteria

• You must be aged 16+

• Can be from anywhere in the UK, but must be willing to travel to Central Manchester (Travel and accommodation not provided)

• Must be available for all dates above

• Applicants who have done our 'Intro to Radio & Podcasting' course anywhere in the UK will get fast-tracked
