News Demo

During one session, participants took part in creating a news report from scratch and recorded this live. Taking current news stories, they constructed a journalist layout to present this on-air. Individually, they recorded and then edited this down to the final feature. Please see below one example, created and voiced by Kavan, Maya & Sam:

The end goal of the week was for each participant to produce a podcast in a group that they could take away with them on topics the groups could relate to but also along the lines of the LGBTQ+ community in Birmingham. Below is the podcast created by Calyspo & Bec's:

  • Clayton Hotel

The Clayton Hotel Birmingham, a family-friendly hotel located in the heart of Birmingham city, just a 2-minute walk from Moor Street Station and 10 minutes from New Street station.

  • Mailbox

  • Awards For All (National Lottery)

People know best what’s needed in their communities. It’s important to involve your community from the start - in the design, development and delivery of the activities you’re planning. Awards For All want to fund projects that are connected to local people and their communities and use their existing skills and experience.
